One of my favorite aspects of Mafia 2 is the story progression and how the map and atmosphere changes as you progress through different time periods. The map is done very well, and it feels real to what I assume what 1940's New York would feel like - But I wish the game gave you more opportunities to explore all the hidden corners. I have also encountered some bugs concerning the map with some area's glitching out to black but it has only happened 2-3 times.It's fun to drive around the city while the radio plays in the background - especially when you're being chased by cops. I think the Police AI is actually pretty decent most of the time, and I like how you have the option to pay fines instead of just shooting the cops. The campaign is enjoyable, though I can't say the same for the DLC missions. The campaign missions don't feel very repeatable and they're almost always set in different places or time of day. Like I mentioned before, the story progresses really well- and you can really feel and see the changes as you play.I think if you're really interested and have a couple extra bucks, get it on sale.. I'll make you a recommendation you can't refuse.... Fantastic game, everything about it, the story, the characters, the cars, the music the atmosphere. Well done to all involved, the only sticking point was the ending, but do not fear, there is a great "Epilog" mod by MrSergey1940 out there that runs within the friends for life mod, it is well worth a try. This is still one of my favorite games even after all these years, It has one of the best openings in game history.Can be fairly linear, but you can ignore missions and just go around and have fun.. Awesome game with a great storyline, however I wish the storyline was more elaborate considering the fact that Mafia II has no online mode. The game reflects the 40s and 50s very well and it has a lot of amazing details which surprised me in a nice way. Even though it was released in 2010 the graphics are really good and satisfying. Would recommend it to anyone who has played GTA and like this type of games. The best idea is to buy it on sale though.. I must say that this game is one of the best games i have ever played in my entire life. This game has super great story. When you play it, it actually feels like you are a part of a mafia.I really recommend this game to everybody who is looking for a great new game.
